We started LAVOÙE because the skincare aisle had stopped saying anything. Hero ingredients without concentrations. Routines with twelve steps and four claims each. We wanted a brand that would print exactly what was inside the bottle, exactly what it does, and exactly what it doesn't.
I have reactive skin. I spent a decade of my own money on serums that listed PDRN, peptides, niacinamide — proudly — and never told me how much. Often, it turned out, the answer was: enough to put on the label, not enough to do anything.
LAVOÙE is the brand I wanted to find. The active concentrations are printed on every box. The ingredients we leave out are listed alongside the ones we include. And the claims we make are the ones we'd be comfortable saying to someone's dermatologist in the room.
— A. LAVOÙE, founder. 2024.
We pick the active concentration first, from the published research, before we decide what else goes in the bottle. The formula is built around the dose, not the other way round.
Every ingredient has to earn its place. If it doesn't change what the formula does, it doesn't go in — even if it would look good on the front label.
Independent third-party testing, not just our own panel, before a formula is approved for sale — including on reactive and sensitive skin types.
Every production batch is stability-tested and dated. The result — and the batch code to look it up — ships with the box.
"A skincare brand should be able to tell the truth twice — once on the front of the box, and once to a dermatologist in the room."— LAVOÙE, brand standards
